  • More than 30 days before charter start: 100% refund of all payments made.

  • 14–30 days before charter start: 50% refund.

  • Less than 14 days before charter start: No refund.

If the company cancels the charter for reasons beyond its control (e.g., vessel damage, government restrictions, or extreme weather conditions), Blue Pearl Yachting will offer either a full refund or a rescheduled date, subject to availability.

3. Charter Types

Blue Pearl Yachting offers both day trips and weekly charters, available as bareboat or skippered options.

  • Bareboat charter: The charterer must provide a valid sailing license recognized by Greek authorities and sufficient experience to operate the vessel safely.

  • Skippered charter: A professional skipper will be provided by Blue Pearl Yachting. The skipper has full authority over the safety and operation of the vessel.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Weekly charters: Check-in and inventory inspection are typically conducted between 17:00–19:00 on the start date. Check-out is required by 09:00 on the final day.

  • Day trips: Departure and return times will be agreed upon at booking.

All charters must return to the designated marina in Kavala by the agreed time unless otherwise authorized by Blue Pearl Yachting.

5. Weather and Itinerary

The company and/or skipper reserve the right to alter the itinerary, cancel, or delay departure due to adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.

No refund shall be made for changes or delays due to weather or other force majeure events beyond the company’s control.

6. Security Deposit and Damages

A security deposit may be required prior to embarkation, depending on the charter type and duration. The deposit is refundable after the charter, provided that:

  • No loss or damage has occurred to the vessel, its equipment, or third parties; and

  • The vessel is returned on time, clean, and with full fuel tanks.

The charterer is fully responsible for any damages or losses caused by negligence, improper use, or failure to comply with the skipper’s instructions.

7. Insurance

All Blue Pearl Yachting vessels are fully insured, covering third-party liability and damage to the vessel.

  • Day trips and weekly skippered charters are covered under this policy.

  • Weekly bareboat charters are also covered; however, clients are strongly advised to obtain additional travel or charter insurance for personal coverage and cancellation protection.

8. Responsibilities of the Charterer

The charterer agrees to:

  • Operate or use the vessel responsibly and lawfully;

  • Follow all local maritime regulations and environmental laws;

  • Avoid subletting or transferring the vessel to third parties;

  • Return the vessel in the same condition received, except for ordinary wear and tear.

9. Limitation of Liability

Blue Pearl Yachting shall not be liable for any loss, injury, delay, or inconvenience caused by weather, acts of nature, equipment failure, or actions of third parties.

The company’s liability, in any case, shall not exceed the amount paid for the charter.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Greek law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kavala, Greece.
